“There’s no such thing as green communications!”

The Next-GWiN debate is a trickster in disguise, one that will provoke us to re-orient how we think and make green communications.  The Green Debate offers a distinguished group of experts in the field of green communications an opportunity to take to the stage and play either ‘devil’s advocate’ or ‘green evangelist’, for and against the motion.

The provocative motion for the debate will no doubt spark conversations throughout the workshop proceedings, prompting us all to re-think and re-affirm our intentions for green communications research.

We are delighted to announce that Éamonn Ryan, Leader of the Green Party, will chair the debate proceedings. Speaking for the motion, on the Devil’s Advocate team, are Prof. Linda Doyle and Prof. Lajos Hanzo. Speaking against the motion, on the Green Evangelists team, are Prof. Sofie Pollin and Prof. Willie Donnelly. Audience contributions will be encouraged, live in person and through social media, throughout the debate by special-session volunteers.
